Review – Star Trek: The Original Series – The Roddenberry Vault

After 50 years of Star Trek you tend to think that you have seen it all, and then a Blu-Ray collection like The Roddenberry Vault comes along and blows those misconceptions out of the water.

Packed with newly found and never before seen footage, exclusive interviews, this three disc collection is certainly the most fitting way to round off Trek’s 50th anniversary.

Included in this set is twelve TOS episodes that have been specifically chosen for their relevance to the new material contained in the set; two new episode commentaries for “This Side of Paradise”, “The City on The Edge of Forever”, and “The Trouble With Tribbles”; three new documantaries “Inside The Rodenberry Vault”, “Star Trek: Revisiting A Classic”, and “Strange New Worlds: Visualizing The Fantastic”; and a collection of clips from the vault called “Swept Up: Snippets From The Cutting Room Floor”.
