When a not-at-all-sinister-looking alien comes to DS9 seeking a controlled medical substance, Bashir’s refusal to provide pits him against the alien and the facets of his own personality in the arena of his own mind. Will a rapidly aging Bashir be able to get a grip on his own faculties and make it back to reality?

Ten Forward Episode 203 – Babylon 5 Talk
No Sina again. QueenKatBlue has QueenKatGone , so that means no Trek Talk today.
Instead we talk about a TV series that is widely regarded (even by Trek fans) to be better than Star Trek! Ye we are talking Babylon 5 written (almost entirely) by J Michael Straczynski, who described it as a 5 year novel, it is unique in Sci Fi history to tell a story from start to finish throughout its 5 season run.
Great characters performed by great actors within a space station that could really work in space, with space ships that conformed to Newtonian Physics all kept it believable.
Joining Firbob on this Trek through the Babylon Universe is his podcasting buddy from Sci Fi Waffle, Shawn Vanderloo and Podcasting legend and all round funny guy (on Twitter at least) Colin Higgins from the Trek News and Views podcast amongst others.
Apologies for the sound quality, as this podcast was plagued by technical difficulties which meant a major editing session was needed to make sense of it.
I hope this does not stop you from enjoying what was an enjoyable episode to record despite the technical hitches.

Upper Pylon 2 – 3 x 16: Prophet Motive
With Admiral Hansen away at Star Trek Las Vegas, the remaining UP2 crew take a look at Grand Nagus Zek’s odd return to the station in “Prophet Motive.”
The Nagus returns to DS9, but with an eerily benevolent twist. Quark and Rom, greatly disturbed by their leader’s sudden change, go on a wild investigation to find the cause. However, neither suspect the divine intervention that was the actual source of Zek’s new look on Ferengi life.
Will Quark and Rom be able to return the Nagus to his former, ruthless self?

This week on UP2, the crew takes a look at yet another Bajoran prophecy episode, with some Cardassian intrigue thrown in for good measure, “Destiny.”
When three Cardassian scientists visit the station to install a long-range communications relay in the Gamma Quadrant, a shunned Bajoran vedek warns Sisko that the visitors pose a great threat according to an ancient prophecy. While initially skeptical, events unfold that have Kira becoming a believer in this ancient prophecy. Torn between his duty as a Starfleet officer, and his undesired position as Emissary of the Prophets, Sisko must choose his own destiny…see what I did there?
