Star Trek Network Japan Site To Launch In Japan In June

Star Trek JapanJapanese Star Trek fans have something to look forward to in June when Star Trek Network Japan, via the Tokugawa System brand name DataHouse Beagle, is set to launch.

Fans who join as members will be able to access the basic functions for free upon registration, with those basics to include digital materials that detail the Trek universe, with information about characters, ships and languages (thanks to a dictionary) across the five Trek series and 11 films.

Star Trek Network Japan will also have a pay selection and will offer episode guides, news, photos and video. Other highlights will include “Star Trek Network Journal,” a premium digital magazine, and, later, original products for sale and an iPad app. Star Trek fans later on will be able to use the domain address Startrek.ne.jp as an overall Internet service, with free basic options and pay options for advanced features.
