New TV Series idea

After much talk, could Star Trek TV series finally materialize?

This is not the first time we have heard of such a thing but if this report from Latino Review is to be believed, the series which had its finest moments under Gene Roddenberry ages ago could finally return to the boob tube.

The question now is who would make up the production team? There is talk as well that familiar names tied up with the sci-fi movies to date are among those who will be considered.

The list includes Bryan Singer, Christophe McQuarrie, Robert Burnett and Geoffrey Thorne. These guys have been tied up with successful movies so it should be interesting how they would be able to blend in and deliver a spunky new Star Trek series which will be embraced by the modern age USS Enterprise fans.

Aside from the original Star Trek series, many fans may recall various tries to somehow rekindle the Star Trek legacy. That included Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek Voyager. There were a lot of revisions to somehow render the voyages of the enterprise so it should be interesting how the supposed upcoming version would be panned out.

Given those TV series title, could the next one carry this much rumoured Star Trek: Federation? This will not be the first time we hear of the said title, since Star Trek Federation is actually undeveloped spin-off that was produced by Singer.

But if CBS is successful in luring Singer, it seems practically imminent that this could be the actual title for the much talked about Star Trek TV series.

For now, talk about a Star Trek TV series may have opened eyes but the real deal comes when the people who would be behind it, as well as the celebrities who will make up the crew, are bound to put it up a notch.

Whatever the case, expect a Star Trek TV series to have its work cut out for them. Being an icon in the TV and movie niche, fans will want to see how a new rendition will truly gain acceptance, particularly among Star Trek fans all over the world.

  1. I would have to say that any new Star Trek series would be welcome. It’s been too long without it.
