A crowd has gathered at Quark’s. Rom tells the assembled crowd that Nog will soon be heading off toStarfleet Academy, and, as is Ferengi tradition, is selling off his childhood possessions to raise capital. Rom encourages everyone to show their support, and kicks off the auction by volunteering to buy Nog’s pajamas – which Nog says will cost him three strips of gold-pressed latinum
