Growing Up Trekkie – by Renee Roberts

Like many of us here at Trek Mate, I grew up with Star Trek. I remember catching some of the first run of the Original Series in 1968 when I was five, and I watched the syndicated re-runs regularly from the early 1970’s onwards. I also enjoyed The Animated Series. After I got my first tape recorder, I recorded the audio of every episode, both live-action and animated, while watching it on TV. It took quite a bit of convincing to...

Star Trek Starfleet Ice Tray

New from Think Geek is the Star Trek Starfleet Ice Tray. A great way to get your drink ice cold. Product description Ten forward just got cooler We wonder if people will still use ice in the future, and we just don’t see it on the show. Maybe for a warm day on Risa, Picard would take his Earl Grey iced? Perhaps Captain Sisko wants some cold-brewed Raktajino to switch up his routine on Deep Space Nine, or surely Neelix knows of...

Star Trek – The Animated Series Episode 11: The Terratin Incident By Gail Gerard

According to my uncle, it’s only a matter of time now. As I clicked on my Netflix, I was hoping that this episode would be like many of the ones to come before–so ridiculously ludicrous that it would...
