Star Trek fan’s dying wish to see Star Trek Into Darkness granted by JJ Abrams
Update on Yesterday’s story about the Star Trek fan diagnosed with terminal cancer and his dying wish to see Star Trek Into Darkness. Here is the article from yesterday.
The powers that be at Paramount and Bad Robot have granted the Star Trek fan a showing of the film. The friend who posted the original post on Reddit added a new comment yesterday, which read:
“Holy cow everybody!!! I just heard from his wife that they are going to do it!! I don’t know who it what the path was to get there but thank you so much to everyone that tried to help!!!”
A post from GradyHendrix on Reddit read:
“Thanks everyone, and a huge thanks to OP ideeyut for posting this. JJ Abrams just called Dan’s wife and left a message. He’s going to try to arrange a screening for Dan, either of the film or at least of the 9 minute promo reel. I’ll never say anything bad about JJ Abrams again. Seriously. He is now beyond reproach as far as I’m concerned.”
The film itself is still incomplete with only the nine minutes of the preview having been composed with music by Michael Giacchino. The rest will be composed over the coming months. A rough version of the film will shortly be shown to the fan.
