Q Who, TNG S2 E16 Review, The Battle Bridge

Q throws the Enterprise into uncharted space where it encounters and is engaged by a vessel of a previously unknown species: the Borg. When the vessel instantly and effortlessly overwhelms the Enterprise, Picard realizes that the Federation may not be as ready for the future as he thought. This show was recorded before the death of Leonard Nimoy. It was intended to be posted the day it was recorded, so it wasn’t edited. Due to my mistake on Pen Pals, it had to be postponed. However I kept it like it is, unedited to give you a chance to see how it’s done before editing. Since it was not really put together, I was able to put in a small tribute to Leonard Nimoy and Mr. Spock. The music is “Amazing Grace” as performed by the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards. It is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever made and I wanted to honor Mr. Nimoy with it’s playing. I hope you enjoy it. Today James and Lou discuss (Q Who) and what we think of it and much more as well as listener feedback, with tonight’s guest host Blair Donnelly. The Battle Bridge Repost, Pen Pals, TNG S2 E15 Review

This is a repost of the review of Pen Pals.  The original post sat in drafts for a while, unbeknowst to me and then when I finally corrected that oversight, it was later discovered that the post had no audio file.  Therefor there was a whopping 21 downloads in a time frame that would see almost 200.  My only guess as to the reason was the lack of audio file and further edits meant nothing to the feeds.  So if you already downloaded this file, please forgive us and bear with us.  We will post the next show in a few days, long enough for the podcatchers to not overlook it.  So please enjoy our review of Pen Pals… Original Post: Data makes contact with a young girl from a pre-warp civilization on a planet facing imminent annihilation. The Enterprise must wrestle with the moral dilemma of violating the Prime Directive or standing by while Data’s friend dies. Today James and Lou discuss (Pen Pals) and what we think of it and much more as well as listener feedback. Battle Bridge schedule change to fix a blunder on Pen Pals.

Battle Bridge schedule change to fix a blunder on Pen Pals.

Hi Everyone.  I wanted to send something saying Pen Pals has been taken down, or actually reposted to come out in 2035, because of a silly blunder on my part while posting.  When I posted the show, somehow it stayed in drafts and was not complete.  I had already put up a forum post on the show, but the main post stayed in drafts until it was pointed out to me in the forums.  I then went to the draft and posted it. It was then later pointed out that the post had no audio file attached.  As a result, the feeds had the post, but no audio.  That was fixed five days ago and since then the audio file has received 21 downloads.  That’s around a couple hundred shy of where it could be in a five day cycle.  Therefor, to try to recapture the feed downloads, I am taking down the original post and will be reposting Pen Pals this coming Friday as a totally new post that should make the feeds much happier. As a result, the rest of season 2 will be at least one week or two weeks behind.  I already have one show, Samaritan Snare edited and ready to be put together.  If we post two shows too quickly, again pod-catchers will ignore one and highlight the other, which is why a part 1 and a part 2, posted together has a wide difference in download numbers.  So I will repost Pen Pals, worded differently so it will not be overlooked as a reposting of the same thing, in the hopes it helps the numbers and you don’t have to miss out.   Thanks and talk to you soon....
