The Delta Quadrant joins the TrekMate family!

We are delighted to announce that the Delta Quadrant podcast has joined the Trek Mate family! With the departure of Charlynn & Josh the existing hosts Matt & JD found themselves in something of a predicament in that they wanted to continue to produce the Delta Quadrant but having limited experience with editing they found themselves with a problem. So, following discussions between all parties the Delta Quadrant podcast has joined TrekMate! What does this mean? Firstly, there will be NO changes to the format of the show, Matt & JD will continue to host and record the podcast and bring on whichever guests they wish. Something that will change is the location of the podcast URL as we move the Delta Quadrant feed over from Libsyn to the Trekmate servers, if you currently subscribe to the Delta Quadrant via iTunes then you should see no difference as we will update the feed behind the iTunes store. If however you subscribe from the current libsyn podcast feed then you will need to change over to the new feed hosted right here on the TrekMate website, details of this will be announced on the Delta Quadrant show next week and also announced here. We are sure you will be glad that the show will continue and we would like to extend a warm welcome to Matt & JD as they join us. Wayne &...

Feed me Seymour, feed me!

As many of our long time listeners may have noticed, on our previous podcast host it used to take about ten minutes to download your weekly fix of Trek Mate. We have always found this frustrating and now we are happy to announce that this problem is over! From now on all podcasts from the Trek Mate family will be hosted on our own servers. What does this mean for you? It means that depending on your connection speed, you will be able to download the latest episode of your favourite pod in as little as 20 seconds! All you have to do is make sure that you change your RSS feed from our old podbean account to our new feeds which are listed below. If you are an iTunes or Stitcher subscriber then the main Trek Mate show should go unnafected, though you will now need to also subscribe to the Trek Mate: Supplemental and Previously In The Alpha Quadrant pods seperately. Star Trek London interview with Jill Ubdergrove

Since March their has been one thing on the tips of any UK Star Trek fans tongue… Star Trek London! (We will have a dedicated website to cover Star Trek London News.) This past weekend I had the pleasure to sit down with Collin Higgins from Trek News & Views to have a fantastic interview with a representative from Media 10. Media 10 is an event and exhibition organiser who have been responsible for some of the UK’s largest and most succesful events including Britain’s Next Top Model, The London Design Trail and The Ideal Home Show. Though most recently they and Showmasters have taken up the challange of bringing an officially sanctioned Star Trek convention back to our shores for the first time in nearly a decade. And they aren’t doing a small event in any way shape or form! They set the tone for the event straight out of the gate by making the huge announcement that Star Trek London is going to be the first con ever to host all five captains!   Since that huge announcement they have been very tight lipped to release too much new information. Though all that changed this weekend when Collin and I managed to get some gems of information from Jill Ubdergrove, who is playing a vital role in making this event happen. Jill gave us a few great sneak peaks, including: There will be multiple Bridges at the event, Quarks Bar or Ten Forward is coming to STL (our money is on Quarks), more guests to be announced on May 24th and much more.   Listen to the full interview here:...

We have a new podcast!

For a little while now we have been talking about expanding the TrekMate family and we are now very pleased to announce that we are launching a new podcast. We’ve said that we felt that Star Trek:Enterprise deserved a dedicated podcast and to that end we are bringing you our new show entitled “Previously in the Alpha quadrant”. The show will review each episode of Enterprise in order and will be hosted by Adam Howse, Paul Finch and Alan Flockhart with occasional guest appearances by the rest of the Trekmate family. We have just published “episode 0” where we introduce the format for the show, the hosts and talk generally about Enterprise, this episode is now available on our standard feed. From episode 1 this will be the first of our podcasts to be hosted on our own website and will have it’s own seperate feed which will be available soon. We hope you all enjoy this addition to the TrekMate family. Wayne, Marc &...
